We have a group of dedicated volunteers for each of our sections. Often, these people are parents who’s children are or have been in the group, or they‘re young people who’ve aged out and want to stick around!
Each section has a Section Leader, as well as regular adult leaders. There may also be young leaders, who are under 18 but want to gain experience in supporting youth groups.
All of our leaders have enhanced DBS checked and are subject to regular training on safeguarding, first aid and key aspects of keeping our members safe.

We rely on the support of volunteers to help us provide quality programming and services to the youth in our community.
We’ve had some excellent volunteers who’ve joined us for limited sessions to share a particular skill. If you're interested in getting involved but can’t commit to regular sessions, consider volunteering with us for a limited time to support a badge.
We've had people join who've been great with money skills, a taekwondo instructor and local Morris dancers! If you have skills to share, we want you!
Every Scout group in the U.K. is run by a dedicated group of trustees. These people are volunteers and are essential for the smooth management and planning for the group.
The group is lead by a Chairperson, who oversees the running of the group. They're supported by a secretary, a treasurer as well as the section leaders and parent representatives. The trustees hold regular sessions as well as an Annual General Meeting (AGM) where information is shared with anyone connected to the group.
You can read more about how our Trustees work on the Scouting website.
